Many times I hear people say that saturated fat is bad and that it should be avoided. Most people do not know that any natural fat consist of monounsaturated, polyunsaturated and saturated fat. A natural fat is any fat that is not man made such as nuts, avocados, olive oil and so on. A fat is classified as: Saturated if there is more of this in the fat than the other two fats. Monounsaturated if there is more of this in the fat than the other two fats. Polyunsaturaed if there is more of this in the fat than the other two fats. Remember: Any time you eat a natural fat you are consuming monounsaturated, polyunsaturated, & saturated fat. You may read about this in my book. |
